BRISTOL --- Rita Marie Colcord, 86, of North Main Street, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at home surrounded by her loved ones.
Rita was born on September 12, 1938, in Bristol, NH, the daughter of the late Charles Martin and Isabel (Caldon) Martin.
Rita enjoyed camping with her family, especially sitting around the campfire sharing stories and memories. She adored children, she had 11 of her own. Rita was a faithful, religious woman who enjoyed going to church functions. Rita was a wonderful mother through and through.
Rita is survived by her sons Raymond Colcord, Paul Colcord and David (Lisa) Colcord; daughters Lorraine Hobart, Joyce (William) Bucklin, Donna Colcord and Brenda (Frank) Hobart; brother Bill Martin; fourteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Rita is predeceased by her loving husband Ralph Colcord; son Ralph Colcord; daughters Marie, Joann, and Judy; sisters Nancy Dow and Joan Martin; and brother Donald Martin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 14, 2025 at 10:00 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish - Our Lady of Grace Chapel, 17 West Shore Road, Bristol, NH.
A Graveside Service will be held later in the spring at Homeland Cemetery, Pleasant Street, Bristol, NH.
The family would like to extend a thank you to the staff at Lakes Region VNA for all of their compassionate care they shared with Rita and her family throughout these trying times.
For those who wish, memorial donations in Rita's name can be made to Lakes Region VNA, 214 Lake Street, Bristol, NH, 03222.
