Rita J. Corral, born on June 19, 1962, in the loving embrace of her parents Gilbert and Julia Trujillo, left this world unexpectedly on January 8, 2026. The news of her passing left family and friends reeling, as none could have anticipated that the vibrant spirit they cherished was in any distress.
Rita was an adventurous soul, known for her love of life and how deeply she cared for those around her. Her adventurous heart brought countless moments of joy to her family and friends, and her loud laughter was often the soundtrack of gatherings, filling rooms with warmth. Whether cooking up her latest culinary creation or pursuing her favorite pastime of scratching off lottery tickets at family events, she found joy in the simplest of pleasures, she enjoyed spending time at bingo with Beverly, sharing those moments with everyone she loved.
She was sweet yet fierce, a combination that made her unique and unforgettable. Described as stubborn but incredibly giving, Rita’s personality was a beautiful tapestry woven from love and mischief. Her caring nature never wavered, and she loved everybody deeply, a testament to the meaningful connections she fostered throughout her life.
Rita was a devoted mother to her beloved daughter Cheri Nicole Vallejos, who will carry forward her legacy. She found great joy in being a grandmother to Natasha, Nicholas, Isaac, and Matthew, who were the lights of her life. As a sister, she shared a special bond with Theresa Bernal and Larry Vigil, her only godson Lazarus Gallegos who she loved dearly, alongside numerous nieces and nephews who knew they could always count on her for love and support.
Rita leaves behind the cherished memories of her vivacious spirit and the indelible marks she left on the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her family takes comfort in the love she infused into their lives while holding onto the hope of reunion one day with those who have gone before her, including her daughter Misty Vallejos.
A memorial service to celebrate Rita's life will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home in West Metro, Denver, Colorado, on January 29, 2026. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor her memory and share in the stories of her remarkable life, beginning at 3:00 PM and concluding at 4:00 PM. Rita loved flowers, to honor her life you are welcome to bring flowers to her service.
Rita J. Corral's spirit will forever linger in the hearts of those who loved her, reminding us all of the power of generosity, adventure, and unconditional love. May she rest in peace.
