BROOKVILLE — Rita Custer, age 65, formerly of Brookville, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home Monday, July 26, 2021, following an extended illness.
Rita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She had an unwavering faith in Christ. Rita worked 17 years for Panasonic before moving on to GTI in Greenville where she worked until retirement. She loved to shop, fish, and had a good eye for decorating. Rita was such a wonderful person who will be missed dearly by all the lives she has touched.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Custer, Jr.; parents, Joe (Ruth) Riggs, and sisters, Donna Bergman and Mary Kennedy.
Rita is survived by her son, Dusty (Crystal) Rother; daughter, Kathy (Jason) Watts; grandchildren, Alexis Reeder, Bradley Reeder, Austin Watts, Logan Watts, Tucker Rother, Chance Rother, Tiarra Alford, Krislynn Hogan, Gage Hogan, Katie Crawford; sisters, Patricia (Doyle) Campbell, Ora "June" Peer, Tammy Newman; brother, James Riggs; best friend, Corie Miller, and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Rita will be held Saturday, July 31, 2021, 12 p.m. (noon), at Kreitzer Funeral Home, 204 N. Main St. Arcanum, OH 45304.A visitation will be held Friday, July 30, at the funeral home, from 5 to 8 p.m. The burial will take place in Royal Oak Memorial Garden.
