Rita was educated in the Ford City School District and after graduation attended IUP and graduated with her Bachelor of Education Degree. She then attended the University of Pittsburgh and earned her Master's Degree in Social Work.
Rita was employed for 30 years at the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Public Welfare.
Rita died on Saturday, December 25, 2021, in UPMC East Hospital. She was preceded in death by several sisters and brothers, Annie B. Pendleton, Ida Pendleton, Lula Robertson, Randle Pendleton, Jr., James Pendleton, Blaine Pendleton, and Lorenza Pendleton.
She leaves to mourn her passing husband, Edward Davis, Sr.; one son, Keith M. Davis; one grandson, Griffin M. Davis; three sisters, Vivian Pendleton, Toni Pendleton, and Georgia Pendleton -Williams: one brother, William Pendleton; and a host of other relatives and friends.
