Age 75, died unexpectedly but peacefully on November 14, 2025, at his home in Canonsburg. He was born on January 27, 1950, in Pennsylvania, the son of Norbert W. Augustine and Margaret (Kobosko) Augustine.
Ken was an avid Steelers and Pirates fan, and an overall sports enthusiast. He had a successful Macy's career before becoming a sporting goods entrepreneur, running The Fan Club for many years across multiple locations in the upstate New York area. After The Fan Club, Ken became a core part of the Dick's Sporting Goods buying team in the Pittsburgh area where he retired in 2015.
He loved spending time with his family and outdoors, especially working in his yard. He loved coaching his sons' sports teams, the ocean, and playing with his grandchildren - be it playing baseball, performing plays, playing diner, building Lego sets, or general mischief. Ken was a man of great integrity, and importantly a kind and compassionate husband, father, and grandfather. Known for his mastery of French Toast, Ken was ever-present in the lives of his family, friends and all who knew him. He was always the first call when anything happened or needed to be done and will be greatly missed.
Ken is survived by his wife of 53 years, Eileen Augustine, his sons Kevin Augustine and Scott Augustine, daughters-in-law Emily Hymowitz and Erin Augustine, and granddaughters Isabelle Augustine and Vivien Augustine, and grandson Arthur Augustine. Ken is also survived by his brother David, and sisters Karen, Donna, and Debbie along with many nieces and nephews. Go in peace sweet man.
Ken will have a private service for family only. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Kenneth, please visit our floral store.

I hired and worked with Ken for a number of years at DSG. I always remember his skill as a merchant and even more importantly his sense of humor. He was a great partner and a friend. I am grateful our paths crossed.
