RITA JEAN (LODEN) HAYS, 63, of Cayuga, (Vermillion County) IN went to be with our Lord on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Home in Cayuga, IN.She was born April 24, 1959 in Clinton, IN, the daughter of the late John Esten Loden and Daisy Mae (Ellis) Lanzarotta. She married Brian (Droopy) Hays March 22, 1999 in Grapecreek, IL. He survives. She is survived by three children and five step-children: Jodie (Christina) Hamand, Perrysville, IN; Malinda (Renee & Bud) Burke, Morocco, IN; Paul (Mychael Cheesman) Hamand, Chrisman, IL; Michael Hays, Taylorville, IL; Brittany (Ryan Bruns) Kinsel, Cayuga, IN; Grant Hays, Taylorville, IL; and Breanna (Andrew) Edwards of Taylorville, IL and Brady (Emily) Hays of Perrysville, IN; Twenty-one Grandchildren, Two Great Grandchildren, three Sisters (Janey Mertz, Linda Corley, & Patricia Phillips).Rita was preceded in death by her Parents; her In-Laws (Earl & Martha Hays) one Granddaughter (Brynslee Kay), one Grandson (Zaylor Thomas) (whom she can't wait to Embrace in Heaven), five Brothers and two Sisters.Rita attended North Vermillion High School. She was employed through AutoZone for 20+ years as a Parts Selector and loved her job and all of her AutoZone Family whom she became very close.Rita had a Special Love in her heart for her Grandchildren and lived to Love them more every day. They nicknamed her "Sunshine" because of all the joy and love she shared with them. Her favorite activities were Cleaning Houses and MOWING yards for many people especially on her favorite mower that was named "Puff the Magic Dragon" after her brother Rex Loden's love for the song.Memorial services: Saturday, July 23, 2022 at the Cayuga Christian Church, 406 S. Logan Street, Cayuga, IN 47928. Donations can be made to Samaritan's Affordable Funerals & Cremations, 2425 Wabash Ave., Terre Haute, IN 47807 toward her final expenses.
