Rita Faye Crossnoe Hendrix, 68, of Bells Tennessee, went peacefully to be with our Heavenly Father on October 13th, 2025.
Rita was born in Gibson County Tennessee on August 22 nd , 1957, to Roy Crossnoe and Shelby Powell Crossnoe. She was raised in Bells where she attended school in Crockett County and graduated from Bells High School in 1975. She spent her younger years as a homemaker before joining her sister-in-law at Gina’s Daycare of Bells Tennessee where she spent 30 years caring for the most precious little children before she retired. Rita was a member of Bells Church of Christ where she attended faithfully for many years.
Rita was such a precious soul with many hobbies and interests. She loved embroidery, admiring beautiful flowers, crossword puzzles, collecting Willow Tree figurines, as well as shopping—especially at Christmas time. She really loved Christmas. She loved every little child that came her way, especially those that she was able to care for at the daycare. Even after her retirement she would go see the children and they loved her visits so much. Rita loved her family with all her heart, and she made sure to show that love to them every day of her life. To know Rita was to love her. She was such a very kind and loving person with a contagious smile and a heart of gold. Her greatest wish each day was to see those she loved live life in true happiness.
Rita is survived by her loving husband, Lonnie Hendrix, who she loved and adored all their days together. She was noted to say that she felt incredibly blessed to have experienced his true love in her lifetime. In addition, she is survived by her precious mother, Shelby Spitzer; her brother, Jeff Crossnoe (Gina), a brother-in-law, Johnnie Hendrix (Linda); her Uncle Frank Lee and her Aunt Brenda “Bren” Lee; two nephews, Chad Roberts (Emily), and Dwayne Hendrix (Tammy); two nieces, Lacey Hollingshead (Justin), and Jeanette Hendrix Cobb (Steve); great nephews Jameson Hollingshead, Andy Henderson (Kelsie), Christopher Hendrix (Amber); great nieces Carlee Cox, Lilly Hollingshead, Jolee Hollingshead, Anne-London Roberts, Shelby Gracie Roberts, Ashley Campbell (Paul), Amber Henderson (Mel), Jessica Overton (Bobby), Corie Ballard (Brandon); and a host of many great-great nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
