Rita Jacquelyn Lebrun

Rita Jacquelyn “Jackie” Campbell LeBrun passed away peacefully on January 22, 2025, at the age of 69. Jackie was born October 2, 1955, in Gatesville, Texas to Eddie Melvin Campbell and Carnelia Corine “Midge” Millican Campbell.Jackie became a mother in 1983 to Clifton Campbell, the light of her life. She is now reunited with her son who passed away in 2006. 

Jackie is preceded in death by her parents, Eddie Melvin Campbell and Carnelia Corinne “Midge” Millican Campbell, son, Clifton Campbell, uncle, Shirley Millican, aunt, Rita Lucille Chappell Maxwell, and her (partner in crime), cousin, Julia Anne Lucas. 

Jackie is survived by her loving husband, James LeBrun, sister, Genie Wilkinson, brother, Douglas Edwards and wife Charlotte, nephew James “Jim” Naney and wife Debbie, niece, Susan Collins, niece, Anne Jaynes and husband Philip, grandniece, April Estrada and grandnephew, Jacob Northrup, and many great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by cousins, Johnny Chappell, Sherry Ann Davis, Rickey Lucas and Randy Lucas, their wives, husbands, children, grandchildren, and many friends. Especially her lifelong best friend, Marilyn Bell. 

She loved and missed her son, parents, aunt, and cousin so much that she posted cherished family pictures and stories almost daily keeping their memory alive. We all loved seeing what pictures she would post next. In her special way, she kept all our memories alive and in our hearts. 

Jackie was loved very much by her family and friends. She will be deeply missed. We find comfort in knowing that she is now in heaven with her beloved son, Clifton.
