Rita Denson McCray, 81, of Lithia Springs, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023. She was born on July 11, 1941. She is the daughter of the late James Denson and the late Edna Tanner Denson.
Rita enjoyed life to the fullest. She was very strong-willed and loved her family dearly. She enjoyed going to car shows and camping in Cleveland, Georgia at Yonah Mountain. She was a fan of the Atlanta Braves and the Georgia Bulldogs. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lithia Springs.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Kelly Brady McCray.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Edwin McCray, Sr.; sons and daughter-in-law, Brett and Anna McCray of Villa Rica and Bobby McCray of Douglasville; four grandchildren, Brady, Brock, Braden and Bex; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins survive.
The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church of Lithia Springs on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
