Rita L. (Fay) Pecce of Quincy passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023, at the age of 78. Born in Boston, Rita was raised and educated in Weymouth, and lived all of her life on the South Shore.
Rita was the beloved wife of Alfred L. Pecce of Quincy; loving mother of Mark L. Pecce of Weymouth, Donna Marie Ryan and her husband Kenneth of Kingston, and Anthony L. Pecce and his wife Mary of Mansfield; dear grandmother of Carissa Burns, Matthew W. Pecce, Bella C. Pecce, Jake R. Pecce, Nicholas T. Ryan, Maxwell Ryan, and Alex Ryan; great grandmother of Carter Anthony Burns; sister of Stephen Fay of North Carolina and Robert Fay of East Hampton; Rita is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Rita had many hobbies that she enjoyed including reading, cooking, painting, gardening, and bowling. She especially enjoyed spending countless summers on Cape Cod with her children and grand-children. In addition, Rita loved planning and hosting holiday parties- her favorites were the 4th of July and Christmas. She loved to travel and was able to explore many places around the world alongside her husband Al.
Family and friends are invited to visiting hours on Tuesday, October 17th, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home, 74 Elm Street, Quincy Center. On Wednesday there will be a service in the Funeral Home at 11:00 am. Cremation to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Rita's name to the Parkinson's Foundation at Parkinson.org.
