Mrs. Rita "Denise" "Dixie" Peecher, 62, of Monroe, NC passed away peacefully on August 3, 2022 at 4:40 AM at Hospice Care of Monroe. She fought a hard fight. We truly believe that she did not want to leave us.
Denise was born to the late Lundy Smith and Reba Deel Smith of Buchanan Co., Virginia on August 5, 1959 in Lorain, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 38 years, John "Rock" Peecher and brother, David Smith. She was the co-owner of Dixie Auto Recovery, serving GA, NC and SC. She was also an investor in PRIME, Inc., a Repossession Insurance Company. She was a hard worker and could often be found in her office skip-tracing. She had a knack for tracking people. She also worked beside of her husband, John on their farm. She was a lover of all animals.
In her spare time, she enjoyed many things, riding Harley's, boating, fishing, crafting, sewing, quilting, music and her flowers. Her family was her most prized possession and always willing to offer a hand or an ear in the time of need. She was a dear friend to many.
Those she left behind to cherish her memory are her only daughter, Tara (Greg) Moore of Monroe, NC; grandchildren, Chase Moore, Haylee Moore, Shannon (Dallas) Moore; great granddaughter, Alaska Emerson Moore of Monroe, NC; brothers, Don (Deb) Smith of Spring City, TN, Danny Paul (Nita) Smith; nieces and nephews and great nephews. She also left behind her beloved rescue dog, Rusty.
