Funeral services celebrating the life of Mrs. Rita Darlene Nappier Ritchie, 68, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, February 15, 2026, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Dr. Terry Taylor and Rev. Eddie Simmons officiating. Interment will be in the Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe, LA.
Rita was born on September 26, 1957, in Monroe, LA and passed away on February 10, 2026, in Monroe, LA. Rita was a gift to all who knew her. She loved life and loved sharing it with others, always giving and offering a prayer for anyone who needed it. Rita was a joy to always be around. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Rita loved the Lord and sharing her faith in Him. Rita will be missed and she leaves a void in the life of those who love her, but we rejoice for her now. In departing she leaves the most precious gifts she can, through organ donation for others. She was such a joy to be around with a sweet gentle and patient spirit.
Rita is preceded in death by her parents, Tommy Nappier and Rubie Nappier; and her father-in-law, Bobby Ritchie.
Survivors include her husband, Michael Richie; sons, Adrian Ritchie and wife, Erin and Jeremy Ritchie and wife, Tiffany; her grandchildren whom she loved dearly and was so proud of, Elijah, Toby, Andrew, Adeline, Lula, Levi, and Laine; her siblings, Edwina Knight, Tommye Brown, Sewilla Savage, Troy Nappier, Brenda Rawls, Max Nappier and Denise Copes; mother-in-law, Lena Ritchie; brothers-in-law, Tony Ritchie and Craig Ritchie; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends.
Pallbearers will be Clint Copes, Brice Knight, Gary Fryer, James Emory, Brad Wilson, and Dee Hogan.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M until service time on Sunday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Life Choices or Louisiana Organ Procurement Association.
