Mrs. Rita Louise Woodard, 70, of Cartersville, passed away on Saturday evening, August 16, 2025, at her home.
She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on March 5, 1955, the daughter of the late Jess & Bertha Saylor. Rita was a long time employee at the Pattie A. Clay Hospital where she worked in the medical supply department. In her free time, Rita enjoyed reading and collecting books as well as watching western, and court TV shows.
Survivors include: her husband, Daniel Woodard; her children, Daniel Scott Woodard (Tonya), Steven Dwayne Woodard & Candida Michelle Woodard; her grandchildren, Zachary Tyler Woodard, Tawney Breann Lykins (Nicholas), Kasey Woodard, Zachariah Woodard & Jessiah Woodard; one great-grandchild, Coleson Gray Lykins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers & sister, Denver Saylor, Christopher Saylor & Tilda Smith.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, August 22, 2025, the Saylor Family Cemetery.
The Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, W. Main St., Richmond, is in charge of the arrangements.
