It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Son, Brother, Uncle, Great Uncle and Partner, Robert, who left us too soon. Robert was surrounded in love by his family, friends, best friend and fiancé, Charlene & beloved dog Lucy Lu, as he succumbed to his courageous battle with cancer.
Known as "Ringo" and RJ to his circle of friends, he was best known for his silly jokes, smart aleck remarks and one finger salutes, and was the guy that always dropped everything to help when they called.
He lived and loved music, especially the Beatles. He played the drums with his whole heart and had the pleasure of playing in and around RI with many musicians for many years. RJ was also known as "Mr. Gadget." If there was a new gadget to be had, he definitely had it. RJ loved riding his motorcycle and was a member of the Patriot Guard Riders since 2007.
He served in the US Army in the 70's and upon returning home went to work for his Dad at RI Plastics and later he was a limousine driver for many years until he retired.
RJ was a wonderful partner and friend to his "Char" whom he bickered with to his very last days, with a true love for her in his heart.
Born in Providence, Robert resided in Warwick for most of his life. He is survived by his parents, John and Anna (Marchetti) Quinn, brother John Quinn, Jr. (Mickie), sisters Patricia Quinn (Brad) and Debra Quinn (John), nieces Kimberlee, Kristin, Kelly, and nephews Dino and Wolfgang and his great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his fiancé Charlene Wobst and his sweet dog, Lucy Lu.
We express special thanks to Hope Health Hospice Center and Jo-Ann and Red for the kindness and care through this very difficult and final chapter of his life. In lieu of flowers you can make a donation to your favorite charity in Robert's name.
A visitation and celebration of RJ's life will be held in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home located at 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick RI on August 15th 10:00am to 12:00 pm. His burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
RJ requests that you wear a bright Hawaiian shirt in honor of his on that day, even if you cannot attend the service.

Broke my heart today to hear of your passing. I enjoyed all the times you busted my chops as I delivered your mail. See you on the other side.
