Robert Adams, 51, of New Jersey, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, and incredible memories.
Robert moved through life swiftly with humor, heart, and a spark of mischief. Gifted with quick wit and irreverent charm, he had a magnetic personality that could fill a room. Whether he was cracking a joke, throwing darts, golfing, fishing, or belting out tunes from his favorite bands, Robert lived life out loud and on his own terms. He had an uncanny ability to connect with people - family, friends, coworkers, or even the guy sitting next to him at the bar.
Robert had a tremendous love for his family and cherished the time they spent together. As a child, he loved dancing around the house with his brothers to the music of Porter Wagoner and Don Williams and as a teenager, enjoyed riding dirt bikes and motorcycles. As an adult, he cherished family traditions, holidays, BBQ's, gatherings filled with laughter and love - creating countless unforgettable (and often hilarious) moments. Robert was an avid fan of the New Jersey Devils and the Washington Redskins, and immensely proud of his Polish heritage.
Robert loved deeply and without reservation. He was the kind of person who would see things clearly – and often say so out loud with humor and heart (whether you liked it or not!). He adored his cat, Gus, who was never far from his side.
Raised in Middletown, New Jersey, Robert was the beloved son of the late Lorraine Willem (Matthew) of Manchester, NJ, and Foy Adams of Opp, Alabama. He was the cherished brother of the late Jeffrey Adams (Donna), Kenneth Adams (Mary) of Mountain Lakes, NJ, and Gregory Adams (Amy) of Robbinsville, NJ. Robert was the loving uncle to his nieces and nephews - Heather, Tyler, and Zachary; Vivian, Jonathan, and Violet; and Katelyn and Dylan. He also leaves behind a large extended family and many lifelong friends whom he loved dearly.
Robert built a successful career as a controls engineer, working for over 25 years as a controls technician. His profession took him across the country; he lived in California, Maryland, and New Jersey over the course of his life. He was known for his strong work ethic, dedication, and skill in his field.
Robert will be remembered for his big heart, his unapologetic sense of humor, and the loyalty he showed to the people he loved.
