Robbie Pleasant

Robbie Pleasant became absent from his body and present with his Lord on May 3, 2024 while at New Hanover Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, NC. Funeral Services will be 3:00PM-Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Coats, NC.  The family will receive friends from 1:45PM-2:45PM- Saturday, May 11, 2024 prior to the service at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Coats, NC, and other times at the home of Robert and Jeanette Pleasant 610 Flemming Road, Coats, NC 27521.

Robbie was born on December 28, 1968 at Good Hope Hospital. He lived the first half of life in Coats, the second in Carolina Beach, and Wilmington where he met his wife of 20 years, Susan. He was a proud and loving parent to Jackson and Tyler.  

During his childhood and school years he was active in all sports. Robbie loved “Ole Coats High” and was in the Class of 87, before consolidation. He served in the Army and later attended Campbell University where he was on the Camels baseball team. In Wilmington he owned and operated a construction company.

Robbie’s greatest gift was making and keeping friends, old and new.  He was a free spirit as were most of his best friends.  He loved all of you dearly. Many tears have been shed in the last week.  We know Robbie wants you to have a good life and he will be waiting for you to join him one day.  We whispered your names to him as we received your calls, cards, and texts.  We could tell by his eyes; he knew he was in your thoughts and prayers.  Thank all of you.

He is the son of Robert and Jeanette Stewart Pleasant of Coats, NC.  Robbie was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Clay Pope. He was a member of the Coats Baptist Church and was baptized October 16, 1977. In 2000 he transferred his membership to Carolina Beach Baptist Church, where a memorial service will be held May 7, 2024.  Robbie was always close to his Lord and Savior.  Other than his parents he is survived by his wife, Susan Roberts Pleasant; son, Jackson; step-son, Tyler Roberts; sisters, Jill Pleasant and Anita Pope; niece Georgia Pope and nephew, Dodge Pope.
