Robbie Ray Waite Pritchard was born on September 1, 1936, in Beaumont, Texas, to Sam Bennett Waite and Evelyn Phelps. She passed away peacefully on September 18, 2025, in Arlington, Texas, at the age of 89.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved son, Robert Samuel Ruth, husband, Joseph Pritchard, sisters, Jodie W. Wilson and Sammie L. Doyle. She is survived by her only brother, Sam Bennett Waite Jr., and seven nieces, numerous great nieces and great-great nieces and nephews.
Known lovingly as "Mama Robbie," she filled the lives of those around her with joy, warmth, and kindness. She lived her final five years surrounded by love and happiness, bringing her unique spirit to everyone she met. Robbie had many passions-she was a gifted artist and gardener, sharing her talents through her membership in the Gourd Association and the Organic Garden Club of Fort Worth. She also had a deep love for animals, especially her longtime feline companion, Pechanga.
She will be deeply missed by her family, neighbors, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Robbie's life was a testament to creativity, love, and resilience, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her. May she rest in peace.
