Robert Abrahamsen, 80, of Freehold passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was born, raised and had lived in Brooklyn before moving to Manalapan and Toms River and eventually settling here in 2023. A parishioner of St. Gabriels' Catholic Church, Robert loved to golf and go bowling. He worked as a mechanic for PepsiCo., Inc. in Brooklyn for over 40 years. Robert was very handy and could fix or replace just about anything. More than anything, he was a true family man who loved his wife, children and grandchildren above all else.
Robert was predeceased by his wife, Carol Abrahamsen; his brothers; and his sisters. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Sparapani and her husband, Glenn, Barbara Naphor and her husband, Tom, and Donna Rodman and her husband, Greg; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 9:00 AM until the procession to his 11:00 AM Funeral Mass at St Gabriel's Historic Church, 549 Route 520, Marlboro.
