Born April 12, 1933 in the Bronx, New York, he was a son of the late Julianno and Antoinette Acampora.

Robert met Rachel Perroni on a blind date and fell in love with her almost immediately.

They were married on August 22, 1954 and together had and raised five beautiful children. The two shared a lifetime together of almost seventy years until her passing on November 17, 2023. He never stopped loving Rachel and telling her and all how beautiful she was to him.
