Robert Agius

Robert Agius passed away February 18, 2026 at the age of 94.

Bob was born on August 31, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan to Phillip and Lucille (Barlow) Agius. Bob served in the United States Army from 1951 until 1953 when he transferred to the United States Army Reserves. On April 4, 1964 Bob married Juanita McMahon at Our Lady Queen of Heaven in Detroit, Michigan; they were married 49 years when Juanita passed away in 2013.

Bob loved to make others laugh and always had a smile on his face. He enjoyed socializing, singing, camping, fly fishing, and riding his bike, and he found great pleasure in reading, watching Hallmark movies, and spending time outdoors. Above all, he cherished being with his family during special occasions and holidays, creating memories that will be treasured forever. When he was able, he enjoyed being active in church and donating his time to the sick and those in need. He spent a lot of time in prayer and truly had a servant's heart. His favorite saying was, "Keep smiling and people won't know what you're up to", a reflection of his playful spirit and positive outlook on life. Bob will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Beloved husband of the late Juanita; loving father of the late Mary Agius, Becky (Dan) Blake, David (Kari-Anne) Agius, Judy (Wade) Munro and Sara (Michael) Rizzuto; adored grandfather of Zach, Jessica, Aaron, Eric (Taylor), Luke, Alex, Tyler, Michaela, Mackenzie, Tobias and Tallulah.

A visitation for Bob will be Friday, February 27, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Scripture Service at Hauss-Modetz Funeral Home, 47477 Romeo Plank Road, Macomb.

A funeral mass will be Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 12:00 noon with an instate time of 11:30 a.m. at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 18201 23 Mile Rd, Macomb. Burial with military honors will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield, Michigan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated to the family.
