In Loving Memory of Robert George Allen June 14, 1952 - August 26, 2024 Robert George Allen, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home on August 26, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a zest for life that touched all who knew him. A Devoted Family Man Robert's unwavering love for his family was the cornerstone of his life. He shared a beautiful and enduring bond with his beloved wife, Melody Lynn Allen nee Brake. His sons, Jarrad and Christian, were his pride and joy, and his daughters-in-law, Mindi and Narjesrose, were welcomed into his heart as his own. His grandchildren – Blake, Zachary, Savannah, Lilly, Georgialyn, and Ethan Allen – brought him immeasurable happiness and filled his life with youthful energy. He is also survived by his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Michael and Patricia Brake, sister-in-law Linda, and nephews Christopher and Damon Allen. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, William and Viola Allen, his brother, Richard Lee Allen, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Gregory and Phyllis, and his nephew Wade Brake. A Life Well-Lived Born in East St. Louis and raised in Collinsville, Illinois, Robert was a proud graduate of Collinsville High School's Class of 1970. He furthered his education at Southern Illinois University and Ranken Technical School in St. Louis, Missouri. Robert's dedication and strong work ethic were evident in his 35-year career at Dematic. Outside of work, Robert's passions included sports and trivia, which brought him joy and connected him with others. His warm smile, infectious laughter, and genuine interest in people will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. A Legacy of Love Robert's memory will forever be cherished by his family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a life lived to the fullest. May his spirit continue to inspire us all to embrace life's joys, cherish our loved ones, and find happiness in the simple moments. Rest in peace, Robert. There was many things I did with my grandpa (robert). One thing i´d love to say that we did together, was go to olive garden. He loved olive garden so much it was his favorite place to eat at.
