Robert Anderson Obituary
Robert Edward Anderson
September 25, 1928 – February 14, 2026
Our beloved Dad/Papa, Robert Edward Anderson (97), affectionately known as "Boulevard Bob," passed peacefully in his sleep on Valentine's Day. He is now reunited with his soulmate of 76 years, Audrey May Anderson (92), who passed on May 9, 2023.
Born to Evald Gottfried Andersson and Hazel Luella Hawk, Bob's life began with humble and difficult beginnings, yet he always believed luck was on his side. Those who knew him saw something more: a gentle, genuine man who was kind, quick-witted, quietly strong, and deeply humble. He earned a boxing scholarship to Gonzaga law school, though he rarely spoke of it.
Bob built a long and respected career as an attorney in Spokane, helping countless people. He was also a lifelong member of the Kiwanis and Lions Clubs. But his greatest pride and purpose was always his family.
A devoted father to his four sons-Mark, Eric, Kent, and Carl-Bob carried his love of the outdoors throughout his life. An Eagle Scout with more than 77 merit badges, he later became a Scout Master, guiding his sons and grandchildren with the same steady hand he lived by.
Bob and Audrey were married at the Hitching Post in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, beginning 76 beautiful years together. Summers at Priest Lake in Kalispell Bay became the heart of our family. There, he raised not just his children but generations. He had the rare gift of making each of us feel like we were his favorite. He was our "magic man," keeper of the magic rock, and the fisherman who could always make the fish bite. He listened without judgment and valued every conversation.
Bob is survived by his four sons Mark, Eric, Kent, and Carl; ten grandchildren Kara, Krista, Janel, Alana, Brandon, Ryan, Danae, Maryka, Niko, and Sabrina, and their spouses; and 17 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held this summer at the Priest Lake Memory Gardens.
We will miss him always and speak of him-and of the love he and Audrey shared-with gratitude and full hearts. We are comforted knowing they are together again.
"I'm always good when I talk to you."
You made each of us feel like your favorite-and that is a gift we will carry forever.
