Kimberly Susan Baldwin
May 9, 1962 – January 23, 2026
Kimberly Susan Baldwin, a woman of sharp wit and exquisite taste, with a healthy love of life passed away in
Spokane, Washington, on January 23, 2026. Born on May 9, 1962, Kim grew up in Puyallup before eventually settling in Fife to raise her family.
Kim's life was defined by a rare blend of grit and glamour. Her professional journey was as diverse as her interests; she and her husband, Dexter, first met while working at the Post Office, eventually co-owning the bar Poppycocks. During a chapter of independence, Kim proved her grit, running her own construction company, landscaping her own yard, designing and remodeling the interior of her home, all while tending to her two kids as a single mother. In later years, she brought her signature spark to the Scoreboard and Harbor Lights, where she built lasting friendships and was known for her impeccable fashion and sophisticated style.
The heart of Kim's legacy is her "great comeback story" with Dexter. After an earlier marriage and divorce, the two realized their story was far from over. They found their way back to one another and remarried, proving that true love is resilient. In 2018, they moved to Spokane to be closer to their children, ensuring that her final years were spent surrounded by the people she loved most.
Kim was a woman who knew how to live well. Whether she was engaging in a spirited debate over politics, enjoying a glass of Pino, playing a game of darts, or entertaining friends, she did it with flair. She was loved deeply by Dexter and their dog Bailey, but her greatest pride was her role as a mother and grandmother.
Kim is survived by her husband, Dexter Baldwin; her children, Lexi and Jared Baldwin; her beloved granddaughter, Marley, and her two sisters; Leslie and Cindy. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, second chances, and the reminder that family is worth everything.
