Geneva Ann Marshall was born June 14th, 1949, in Owyhee, Nevada, to Ralph and Mary Williams~ Geneva, or "GeVie" as her family called her, was the youngest of 3, following her older brothers Bob and Danny. Their family moved to Spokane in 1959, where she attended school at Brown Elementary, Glover Jr High, and she graduated from Shadle Park HS in 1967. (Go Highlanders!)
Geneva married Mike Talley in 1972, and they had their beautiful baby girl, Juliet, in February of 1975. Geneva and Mike later divorced and co-parented Juliet throughout her school years. Geneva attended Holy Family Radiology school 1969-1970. She then spent over 41 years at Inland Imaging, where she had a lasting impact on the incredible staff she worked with throughout those many years!
Geneva later met George Marshall, and they got married on November 12, 1984. They were successful in combining their kids and creating a family of 6 ~ Marie, Heather, Juliet, and Leigh. Geneva was a loving and gracious mother to her children, teaching them the importance of strength and hard work.
Geneva really loved family gatherings and was very proud of her Puyallup and Cherokee heritage ~ She and George took the family to many Powwows throughout the area, trips to the coast, and summer camping trips throughout the PNW, visiting family and friends along the way. Some of Geneva's favorite memories were when Bob and Danny would come to visit with their children in the summers, the entire family would picnic, make memories, and spend valuable time together!
Geneva was so generous and truly loved the holidays more than most! She proudly spoiled all of her children, as well as her family and friends. She could wrap her presents so beautifully and spent many hours wrapping during the holidays. She proudly taught her girls how to put the same effort into wrapping and gifting. Geneva especially loved anything in her sparkly blues, purples, teals, and mauves, especially her nails, robes, and slippers!
She also loved music, attending many concerts through the years with family and friends ~ her very favorites were Brooks & Dunn, Neil Diamond, and Alabama! Her car played "Neon Moon" on repeat for the last few years, which brought much laughter and memories to her girls. Geneva also loved her Mariners and watched every single game!
Geneva was a lifelong friend to many ~ Willie, Skeet, Sandy, Pattie, Roxanne, Ruth, Sandi, who helped her remain sane, dealing with George and 4 crazy teenagers in the house at one point. She cherished her last few years with lunch dates with friends. We especially appreciated Sandi sharing her girl time with nail appointments with Selena, Hair with Mina, and long phone calls.
Geneva is survived by her loving husband, George; her daughters, Juliet (Kalon), Marie (Joe), and Heather (Chris); as well as all her grandchildren, Madison, Payten, Morgan, Sydney, Courtney, Isaiah, Joey, Gianna & Lane. She is also survived by her big brother, Danny Williams, plus several nieces and nephews.
Geneva is going to leave a large void in the hearts of all of her family and cherished friends~ her loving and sweet nature and gentle guidance kept our family together, and George calm.
Our family will be celebrating Geneva's beautiful life at Beacon Hill Event Center, at 4848 E. Valley Springs Rd., on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 11am-3pm, for all who would like to join.
