Robert Arthur Obituary
Robert Millar Arthur Jr was born in Waterloo, Iowa, on November 4th, 1943, to Robert Sr and Mildred Arthur.
He was a committed Christian, loving husband, father, and grandfather, and a loyal brother and friend.
He married Faythe Joy McLellan on August 28th, 1965, and they had three children (Jill Lyn, Joel Wayne, and Justin Robert).
He graduated from the University of Washington with a bachelor's degree in Meteorology. He then began his career as a weather forecaster at the National Weather Service in 1967 and retired after 35 years of service in 2002.
After retirement from the National Weather Service, he enjoyed working as a seating host (usher) for the Seattle Mariners baseball team for nearly a decade.
He was an avid golfer, fisherman, and hiker, as well as an enthusiastic fan of UW football, having played football for UW during his college years.
He expressed his faith in Jesus Christ by serving as a deacon for his church and singing in the church choir.
He is survived by his son Joel (Janet), his son Justin (Kathy), and his grandson Zachary.
He is preceded in death by his wife Faythe, his daughter Jill, his parents Robert Sr and Mildred, and his brothers Ronald and Raymond.
Memorials may be sent to Seattle's Union Gospel Mission in honor of Robert Millar Arthur Jr.
