Robert G. Axe

Robert G. Axe, 70 of Dunbar passed away on Wednesday February 14, 2024 in WVU Medicine, Uniontown Hospital. He was born on August 12, 1953 in York, Pa. a son of the late Furnace Eugene and Mary Jean Sanders Axe. Bob was a graduate of Southmoreland High School and he was a veteran of the US Army, serving with the Military Police. He also received the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He was formerly employed at Volkswagen and he retired as a truck driver. Bob was the famous "Skate Boy" at the former Steiner's Roller Skating Rink and he was a 38 year friend of Bill W. He is survived by his wife, Jodi L Mildren Axe; his daughter, Liza Caton and her husband Steve of Maryland; his grandchildren, Daniel, Addison, Anthony and Parker Caton; sister-in-law, Nicole Saville and her husband Dave of Sarver, Pa. and their children, Gulianna and Natilia; his former wife, Barbara Lynn and his pet dog, Harley. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Dena A. Axe. As per the wishes of Bob, there will be no public viewing. A Memorial Service will be announced at a future date and time.
