Robert D. "Bob" Aynes, born on May 16, 1939, in Clear Springs, Indiana, passed away on January 31, 2026, at the Masonic Home at Compass Park in Franklin, Indiana.
Bob is survived by his loving children, Larry (Kathy) Aynes, Gretchen (Gene) Smith, Mike (Arlene) Aynes, Deb (Jeff) Lowry, Mary Runnells, Austin Aynes, his former spouse and loving caretaker, Mary Jo Aynes, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Russel Aynes, his mother, Fannie Mae Davidson Hess, his sisters, Gloria Hole and Betty Sons, his brother, Larry Aynes, and his son, Randy Aynes.
The family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate Bob's life during a viewing on February 10, 2026, from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM at Flanner Buchanan - Speedway in Indianapolis, Indiana. A funeral service will follow at the same location beginning at 1:00 PM, concluding with a graveside service at St. Malachy North Cemetery in Brownsburg, Indiana, starting at approx. 2:00 PM.
