Richard Aynes Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory on Jul. 15, 2024.
Richard "Dick" Aynes, 66, Anderson, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Community Hospital Anderson. He was born on May 6, 1958. Our hearts are broken.
Dick was an avid roller skater at Skatemore Roller Arena in the 1970s and 1980s. He also played the drums with a small band. As a teenager, Dick was constantly rebuilding car motors and lawnmowers. Dick loved fishing and mushroom hunting and belonged to the Anderson Roadrunners Club, where he trained to run marathons. But Dick's favorite pastime was go-kart racing with his son, Taylor, and they were damn good at it. From his years working on car motors, go-karts, and lawnmowers, Richard opened, owned, and operated The Lawn Mower Shop.
Richard is survived by his wife, Barbara (Brown) Aynes, and his son, Richard (Taylor) Aynes. He was a loving, kind, and good husband and an awesome father, and he will be forever missed. Richard is also survived by his sisters, Nina and Joanne; his brother, Dayna Aynes; his cousin, Chris Hughes; and many good friends.
Visitation will be on Thursday, July 18, 2024, from 4:00-6:00 P.M. at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd Street, Anderson, with funeral services at 6:00 P.M.
