JoAnn Stoops, 91, of Anderson, passed away to be with her Lord on March 16, 2026. She was born on January 22, 1935, in Anderson, Indiana, where she resided all of her life.

JoAnn graduated from Anderson High School in 1952.

She was a loving homemaker, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Anderson, where she helped in their community cafe and was a part of their Fellowship Circle. JoAnn also volunteered for several years for the Victoria Guild, but she especially loved to spend time with her family and dog, Buddy.

JoAnn is survived by her loving children, Cheryl (Mark) Jordan, Jeff (Nancy) Stoops, Randy (Marsha) Stoops, and Kathy (Jerry) Wright; sister, Karen Wulle; 10 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Tim and Jan Edwards.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bruce and Madonna Neff; husband, Robert Stoops; son, Mike Davis; sister, Marcia Schwan; brothers-in-law, Mike Wulle and Jerry Schwan; and grandson, Brandon Stoops.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at the First United Methodist Church, 1215 Jackson St., Anderson, IN.

Services will follow visitation at 2:00 pm at the church with Rev. Corinne Boruff officiating.

Cremation will take place with a burial at Anderson Memorial Park at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, www.shrinerschildrens.org, or to First United Methodist Church of Anderson, www.andersonfirst.org/give.
