Robert Badger

Robert L. "Bob" Badger 89, of Willow Street, passed from this world to the next into the arms of Jesus on Saturday December 27, 2025, at home. Born in Little Britain, he was the son of the late Raymond Lee Badger and Mary Duncan Badger, and the step-son of Elmer Booth.
Bob was a graduate of Oxford High School and Goldey Beacom College. Bob was a veteran of the US Army, achieving the rank of Corporal. Bob received an Honorable Discharge on August 30, 1962. Bob's last Duty Station was Fort Knox, Kentucky. He also served in the Air National Guard. Bob spent over 40 years in banking, mostly in agricultural lending, starting with the First National Bank of Strasburg and retiring from The Bank of Lancaster County. Bob served on the Solanco School Board, Church Board, was a member of the Masons, Lions Club and various other organizations throughout his life. But hands down, Bob's favorite was his membership in the "No Score Four" foursome at Tanglewood Golf Course.
Bob was predeceased by his wife of 48 years, Janet M. Badger (1943-2010) as well as brothers Robert and Walter Booth. Bob, or "Poppi", as he was lovingly known by family, is survived by daughter, Judy Hastings of Oxford, son, Scott and his wife, Joanne Badger of Lancaster, and daughter, Becky and her husband, Keith Lehner of Strasburg. Bob is also survived by six grandchildren, Jordan, Blaire, Liam, Gavin, McKinley and Griffin; four great-grandchildren, and sisters, Jean Brubaker, Emily Taylor and Phyllis Stauffer. Bob is also survived by his companion, Denia Parke.
Funeral Services will be held at Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren, 1392 Robert Fulton Highway, Quarryville, PA 17566 on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. A viewing and time to greet the family will be held from 10-11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Quarryville Cemetery.
