Robert Lee "Bob" Barbee, 83, of Waverly, Ohio passed away Sunday, September 21, 2025 at his home. He was born February 5, 1942 in Jackson County, Ohio to the late Homer Judson and Freda Whetstone Barbee. On March 10, 1964 he was united in marriage to Darlene McCormick Barbee who survives. Also surviving are his children, Bob "Bobby" Barbee and wife Doreen of Waverly, Lora Lee Barbee of Waverly and Julie Irwin and husband Craig of Wheelersburg; grandchildren, Eric (Katie), Derek (Taylor), Danielle (Alex), Caity (Tom), Zach, Ally (Chandler), Madi and Lani; and great-grandchildren, Brianna, Kinleigh, Hudson, Jaxson, Daniel, Benjamin, Abigail and Annalee. In addition to his father and mother he was preceded in death by grandchildren, Jacob and Jacqueline Irwin; great-grandchild, Anthony Barbee; two brothers; and three sisters.

Bob proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy and was retired from Ohio Valley Electric Corporation where he served as an accountant for over 30 years.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly with Rev. Bob Barbee officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Union Cemetery on Denver Rd. The family will receive friends from 5:00p.m. – 7:00p.m. on Wednesday and for one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
