William Shepherd Obituary
Besides his wife, he is survived by his sister; Dorothy Haas of Ft. Thomas, Kentucky; numerous nieces, nephew and devoted friends.
Bill was a World War II veteran having served in the United States Navy. He was a former employee of the Ohio Valley Electric Corporation (OVEC) in Piketon. He retired as an electrical lineman from Cincinnati Gas and Electric in 1986. He was an avid fisherman for many years and loved spending time on the family farm on Loys Run Road in Pike County.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly with Pastor David Boggs of Webbville, Kentucky officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Union Cemetery on Bridge Street with military honors conducted by American Legion Meritt Post #142. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
