Robert Leon Barbour, Sr., 70, passed away with his family by his side, Thursday, September 11, 2025, in Azle, Texas.

Memorial Service: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Springtown Community Fellowship, Springtown, Texas.

Robert, or as he was affectionately known, “Big Bobby”, was born November 7, 1954 in Wilson, Oklahoma to William (Bill) Estelle Barbour and Nancy Mae (Strong) Barbour.  Robert attended school in Wilson, married his wife, Zelda, on March 4, 1974 in Fittstown, Oklahoma and eventually moved to Springtown, Tx. and started a family.

He worked for General Motors for 30 years and was a member of the United Auto Workers Union. Later in life, he worked for the local electric company to support his family.  He loved spending time with his family in Oklahoma and his favorite thing to do was load up all the grandchildren, nieces and nephews and go fishing. He also enjoyed just relaxing by the lake with his wife, Zelda.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Zelda and his daughter, Marissa.

He is survived by his sons, Jeremy Barbour and Robert Barbour, Jr. “Little Bobby”; his grandchildren, Kinsley, Jaiden, Emilee, Kaylyn, and Ethan; and his great-grandson, Thomas, and a host of other family, friends and co-workers who loved him and will remember him.
