Robert Barlow Obituary
Robert was born on January 22, 1989, in Trenton, NJ to (predeceased) Felicia A. Barlow and (predeceased) Lonnie Houston Sr. He leaves behind an older sister Kelicia Phillips - Cortland, NY, a brother (predeceased) Rashee L. Barlow - Trenton, NJ and siblings on his father side of the family is sister Tayala Houston - Trenton, NJ brother Andrew Houston - Trenton, NJ and brother Lonnie P. Houston - Trenton, NJ. Grandmother predeceased (May G. Wright Barlow) - Trenton, NJ Aunt Daphine Barlow - Trenton, NJ Aunt deceased (Karen Barlow) Trenton, NJ uncle Robert Barlow - Trenton, NJ, uncle Clinton Jr Barlow - Trenton, NJ, Nathaniel Wright - Cortland, NY, with a host of other family and cousins. From the very beginning Robert radiated kindness, strength, and grace. He carried these qualities with him throughout his beautiful life, touching the hearts of everyone he met.
He worked at various jobs during his lifetime. He had compassion for everyone he came across. You could be having the worst day ever, but when people saw Robert known as "Rob" their day became better because he was a good guy. Funny, silly, and a goofball who was just living life to enjoy it.
Robert had no kids but the kids he did know, instantly loved him. His greatest joy came from hanging with friends and family, where his presence was the heart of every gathering.
Robert's life was a blessing, his memory a treasure. He is loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
Robert memorial service will be held on 2/6/2026, 115 Williams Street at Zirbel funeral home in Groton, NY. Visitation will start at 10a - 11a and service will follow after.

I am very sad to see Robs passing. He was always fun to see at dunkin!! He always had a smile and made me and my daughter´s day better. Rest easy. You will be missed by many.

Oh Rob, I´m so sad.. Daily thank you´s at Dunkin became a friendship. Rob´s laugh could turn anyone´s day around. On the day of his passing, he gave me his employee discount, as a "congrats on the new job" token- at the time it was a kind, senseless moment but when I heard the news it meant everything to me. Genuinely such a good person. Lucky to have known you.

My Sweet Rob( Fred) yes he was my favorite student and I called him Fred an inside joke. Robert always had a smile to fill a room. Lovable , caring always very polite no matter how bad his day was going. Rob would reach out to me with each mile stone he completed. I couldn´t have been more prouder of him . Knowing Robs past and how he came to Cortland. Fred you had a purpose hear on earth and it was to spread love . Peace and happiness. Fly high kiddo .

Rob. I loved your energy. There was a calm about you that was unexplainable yet incredibly relaxing. There was a peace about you that seemed to keep you blissfully oblivious to any chaos around you. I envied your simplicity and ability to move as you desired. You were one of the best kids I ever worked with. You got to exist and be unique. There will be others (but very few) who will get to exist as you have but I'm glad to have known the version that was you. Rest in Peace. Live the next life as you have lived this one. We are all better for having your brief presence with us. You'll be missed, and that's ok, because you'll be remembered.
