Robert Erwin Barton, of Fayetteville, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 80 years old. He was born July 28, 1945, in East Liverpool, Ohio, to Nelson Earl and Nellie Elena (Winters) Barton. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Morgan Barton; sisters Lillian Badger, Ruth Barton, and Carol Barton; and his infant son Stephen Barton. Robert served in the United States Army, and was stationed in Germany for two years. It was there he met his wife of almost 57 years, Sibylle. After the service, they returned to the states, where they established their family. He enjoyed painting, and was the family's go-to handyman. Anything that needed fixed, he was the man. He was a devoted father and grandfather. He enjoyed the outdoors and would take his family on hikes and camping trips. He served as his son's little league coach, as well. He was loved by all who knew him, and his presence will be missed. Robert is survived by his wife Sibylle Barton; sons Brian Barton & wife Christy, and Chris Barton & wife Brandy; grandchildren Bishop, Whit, and Charli Barton; brothers Clyde Barton, Jim Barton & wife Beulah, and Fred Barton & wife Rnet; and many other cousins, nieces, nephews, and loved ones. A visitation will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville. Funeral will begin at 1:00 PM, with burial to follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens under the direction of Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville.

Bob, was a great guy and a good friend. He will be missed.

Eternal rest grant unto him, oh Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen.
