Robert “Brent” Bateman aged 76, passed away at his home in Evanston, Wyoming on September 15, 2024 surrounded by his family. He was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather and cherished friend to many.
Born in Saratoga, Wyoming on October 21, 1947, Brent was the third of four brothers born to Clarence Don and Dora Gill Bateman. He lived a life full of love, laughter, kindness, generosity and determination.
Brent graduated from Evanston High School before furthering his education at Utah State University. His entrepreneurial spirit eventually led him to a lifelong career in the retail industry.
Brent’s life was centered around spending time with his family and friends. His thirst for adventure resulted in many wonderful memories. Whether it was an afternoon barbeque, trips to New Zealand and Africa, or a 5,000 mile motorcycle trip, he enjoyed every moment.
His family was his greatest accomplishment. His special relationships with his children and grandchildren led to many belly giggles, nicknames, and oh so many memories.
Brent is survived by his wife, Mary Kim, his children, Cody (Lori) Bateman, Bradley (Julie) Bateman, Tiffany (Matt) Windley, Jessica (Nic) Green (born to Laura Bradbury Bateman) and Zac Bateman, brothers, Les (Virginia) and Don (Georgia), 10 grandchildren, in-laws, Jack and Sandy Denson and sister-in-law, Donna Rae (David) Shearer, and his very favorite canines, Stu and Harley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Don and Dora Gill Bateman, and brother Doug.
