Robert Batise Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Patterson Memorial Funeral Home, Inc. on Jan. 31, 2026.
Robert "Rob" Batiste, Jr. was born on September 23, 1983, in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, to Robert Batiste, Sr. and Jascline M. Batiste. He passed away on January 8, 2026, in Parkland, Washington.

Rob received his early education in North Carolina, where he excelled academically, earning straight A's during his high school years. He later completed his GED at the age of 17 and briefly attended Bates College. Rob was known for his strong intellect, practical thinking, and curiosity, often taking interest in how things worked and using his skills to repair, build, and solve problems.

Rob was resourceful, dependable, and willing to help others. He had a natural ability to engage in thoughtful conversation, particularly with older generations, and valued structure, experience, and perspective. Known as humorous and loyal, he maintained meaningful connections with family and friends throughout his life.

A dedicated sports enthusiast, Rob was a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan and followed Duke basketball closely. He appreciated preparation, discipline, and tradition-values that reflected his approach to life.

Rob is survived by his parents, Robert Batiste, Sr. and Jascline M. Batiste; his grandmother, Mary F. McCrimmon; his son, Robert Batiste III; his daughter, Alice Annamae Corey; his grandson, Lucius Franklin Iris Batiste; his siblings, Shwana McCrimmon, Marquis Batiste, Brandon Batiste, Syrita Nicole Simons, and Tony Milton Batiste, all of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Terrance Izell Batiste of Parkland; three nieces; three nephews; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.

A memorial service will be held on February 28 at 1:00 p.m. at Patterson Memorial Funeral Home. Family and friends are kindly invited to UP and honor Rob by wearing Green Bay Packers green or Duke blue.
