Bob considered himself to be a real "foodie", was creative with his cooking and had a passion for dining on foods of all kinds. He really enjoyed music and loved taking the train to University City to attend Free At Noon at the World Cafe every Friday (lunching with all his friends afterward). Bob and Gretchen enjoyed traveling often to Michigan to visit family, spent many summer days with pals along the Jersey shore but Bob's greatest joy was traveling with friends, to Europe, Mexico, Brazil, Cuba and all around the U.S. Many hearts break at his loss.
Son of the late Roy and Marge (nee Barnes) Bell.

Wife of 40 years: Gretchen (nee Sauve) Bell
Half Sister: Barbara Greiner
Niece: Kimberly (Rob) England
Great Nephew: Thomas England
Great Niece: Ellie England
A celebration of Bob's life will be Friday, March 28th from 1-4PM at the Springfield Country Club, 400 W. Sproul Rd., Springfield, PA 19064.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to WXPN Radio station, xpn.org and/or PA Center for Adapted Sports, 4 Boathouse Row, Philadelphia, PA 19130

I am so saddened to hear of Bob´s passing. I worked with Bob at MLH IS. I was happy we were able to keep up via social media after we retired. I will miss his sense of humor and laughter. A wonderful man!

I worked with Bob at MLH. He was the Lab´s IS person, and I was the MLH Info Services person, who fortunately had lab experience so we could "talk lab" to each other. I always loved working with Bob, he was kind, patient, and funny. Lord knows he helped me with testing fixes for so many hours! Rest in Peace Bob, I am sure you are totally enjoying your time in Heaven. Sincerely, Debbie ORourke
