SUN PRAIRIE - Robert "Bob" J. Benzing, age 63, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 8, 2024, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. He was born July 10, 1960, in Hartford to Francis and Annetta (Schmitz) Benzing.

Bob was a skilled carpenter who enjoyed creative projects, baking, attending church, taking long country drives, and spending time with his family.

Bob is survived by his children: Casandra Benzing, Mesa, AZ, Katrese Benzing, Mount Horeb, WI, Steven Benzing, Henderson, NV, Randy Benzing, Mount Horeb, WI, and Vanessa Benzing, Phoenix, AZ, all whom he shared with former spouse, Theresa (Benzing) Robey. He is also survived by 15 siblings and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Annetta (Schmitz) Benzing; brother, Bernard Benzing; and nephew, Bradley Benzing.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, July 15, 2024, at MADISON BAPTIST CHURCH, 2323 Portage Rd. Madison with Pastor Mike Weiss presiding. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the service at the church on Monday. A luncheon will follow the funeral at the church. Burial will be at East Blue Mounds Cemetery in Blue Mounds at approximately 3:00 PM.
