Hard to believe that a year has passed but there are never long gaps of time that I don't think 0f him. As I posted at his passing, the influences he had on me have last all through my educational career, plus a second work tenure of 25 years of which his lessons always applied. Miss you my friend.

Certainly, other than my dad, one of the two most influential people in my life and a great motivator and one that affected my career more than any other. I feel happy that I was able to speak to him a month or so before his passing and thanked him for all he did for me. Were it not for Covid I would have been on a plane for his service. Probably the most positive person in Education that I know and surely an encourager of students! He will most certainly be missed!

I worked with Bob when I was President of Hillside PTA. He had many, many ideas and we had fun trying out all of them.
He was instrumental in getting the name of the road leading into the school named "Educational Park Drive".
Bob was a great and caring person. Rest in Peace, Bob

Kent I am sorry to hear of the loss of your father especially so soon after your mother. Having known them for most of my life they were wonderful people and parents. Take Care

I taught with Bergie in the early years. He became assistant principal and eventually principal at Hillside. He was more than a colleague or an administrator. He had a way of dealing with his job that made you feel that you were working with him, not for him. Those years were rife with Bergie stories and memories that still make me smile. I can sum up his contribution to the Parma School System and Parma City Recreation baseball program with one of his own popular sayings, "Not too shabby!" Those who knew him at Hillside or in the summer recreation baseball program will know just how great that praise is. Rest in peace, Bergie.

My sincerest and deepest condolences to the Bergstrom family. "Mr. Bergstrom"as I knew him was my drafting teacher in 8th and 9th grades, 65 & 66, at Hillside Jr. High and my vocational drafting teacher at Parma Sr. High in 1969. So very sorry to hear of his passing.

Bergie was a great principal to work with at Hillside. He helped to make those early years of teaching a great time to remember. He became more than a principal. He was a friend, and I will miss him.

I loved Mr, Bergstrom! He was the assistant principal when I started my teaching career at Hillside Junior High School. He was a great man who loved getting kids involved in activities. He had a charm about him that made it hard to say no to him. He will be missed!
