Robert "Bob" Gary Bertrand of Riley passed away January 2, 2025 at the age of 61.
Bob was born on November 3, 1963 in Mount Clemens, Michigan to Lloyd and Elizabeth (Steele) Bertrand. He graduated from Lutheran High North in 1981 and was very strong in his faith, he never put helping the church to the side and was a pillar in his church community. Bob earned his Bachelors degree at Walsh College and was employed as CFO at Community First Health Centers. Bob married Christine DeGasperis on September 14, 1991 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Macomb, Michigan; together they had two children and were married 33 years. Bob loved classic cars, cruises and spending time with his family and friends on the weekends at car shows. He enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was hunting, fishing, golfing, snowmobiling, gardening, playing slow pitch softball in the church league or coaching his kids in softball and baseball. He also enjoyed playing euchre, pinochle and monopoly with his family and friends.
Beloved husband of Christine; loving father of Rebecca Bertrand (fiance' Jay Bosel) and Bradley (Dakota) Bertand; adored grandfather of Addison; cherished brother of Lisa Bertrand; son-in-law of Martin (Sylvia) DeGasperis; brother-in-law of Patricia (Paul Hutchins), Martin (Rita) and Melissa. Bob is also survived by three nephews, one great-nephew, one great-niece and many cousins and friends.
A visitation for Bob will be held Sunday, January 5, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Tiffany-Young & Hauss Funeral Home 73919 Fulton, Armada. Funeral services for Bob will be Monday, January 6, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with an instate time of 10:00 a.m. at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 22511 West Main St., Armada.
A private burial will take place in Northern Michigan.
