Robert E. Berzenski

Robert E. Berzenski, 82, of Manchester, loving husband of 61 years to Kathleen (Barber) Berzenski, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026, at Hartford Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Hartford on June 14, 1943, he was the son of the late Joseph and Rose (Janton) Berzenski. Robert worked for many years in shipping and receiving as a forklift operator for US Foods.

He found his greatest joy in golfing, fishing, trips to the casino, and, above all, time spent with his family. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and creating special memories together, including visits to Fish Family Farm to see the animals and enjoy ice cream. From a young age, Robert cherished summers at Columbia Lake, a tradition he proudly continued with his own family. His love for fishing remained a constant throughout his life, reflecting his appreciation for simple joys and meaningful moments shared with those he loved most.

He is survived by his loving wife Kathy, his three children and their spouses Sue and Jack Kerr of Manchester, Robert and Sandy Berzenski of Ellington and Cindy and John Lynch of Hebron, six grandchildren Nicole and Emma Kerr, Robert and Samantha Berzenski, Olivia and Danielle Lynch, his brother Anthony "Tony" Berzenski of Florida, his sister Linda Webber of South Windsor and his sister in law Judy Clemson of Manchester and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Along with both his parents he was predeceased by his sister Joanne Naumec and her husband Dennis, a brother-in-law Butch Webber, and a sister-in-law Gail Berzenski.

Relatives and friends are invited Monday, February 9th at 10 a.m. to the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 W. Center Street in Manchester for a period of visitation prior to the 11:30 funeral home service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Cancer Society in his memory.
