Obituary published on Legacy.com by Greenlawn Funeral Home East on Jun. 6, 2022.
Robert H. Bezanson was born March 18, 1946 and suddenly passed away at home June 3, 2022. His life was full of wonderful experiences and many great friends.
After graduating from University of Maryland in 1968, he served 11 years as an Air Force officer in hospital administration including the Vietnam theatre. In 1978 he received his Master's degree in health administration which led him to Cox Medical Centers in 1980. There he held many positions on his way to becoming President and Chief Operating Officer. He retired after a 31 year career.
His many hobbies included photography, trout fishing, fly tying, and computers. But he was happiest doing wood turning and was active in S.W. Missouri Woodturners.
Bob is survived by his wife of 51 years, Cindy. His Mother Marjorie, 96, in Maryland. One brother, David and his wife Caren also of Maryland. Two nephews, Mike and Matt, and their families.
Bob will be tremendously missed.

I served on the Mid-America Transplant Board with Bob and I just learned of his passing. The world lost a good man. I was fortunate to have him as a mentor. He gave sound advice but only when asked. He had a zest for life. He was honest and straightforward- a solid person. He will be missed.

I remember Bob during my time as a hospital CEO and a member of MHA. Bob was a kind person and I enjoyed knowing him. My sympathies to his family.

Bob was one of the kindest and most talented men, I've ever met. We spent many hours: biking and fishing...along with stories about his family and friends. He shared his talents (still using the book cases he taught me how to build) and his passions with those around him. We have not talked recently, but thought of him often as I was pulling out a fly he taught me to tie, or pulling a book from the shelf he helped me build. Thoughts for Cindy and his family....Hugs from Dolly and I!
