Robert Edward Blake

Robert Edward Blake, age 66, passed away June 4, 2022 at his home in Eastpointe, Michigan. He was born December 16, 1955 in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan to Robert Albert Blake and his wife Gwendolyn Lucy Ann Myers. Robert worked throughout his life providing maintenance and facilities care to several local public schools and later for St. Peter's Lutheran Church where he and his family are parishioners. He enjoyed photography and loved to sail boats; later watching others as they sailed the water. He was devout in his faith and looked to inspire the goodness in those around him and maintained strong connections to the friends he made in life; many of those through church and family, work and his involvement with the Eastpointe Alumni Group and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Robert is survived by his wife Barbara Anne Blake, son Robert Jacob (Kiimberly) Blake, 6 grandchildren; Lucas, Daniel, Devin, Xavier, Dorothy and Gwen, his sister Debi (Perry) Maniaci and brother Mark Blake. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Blake and Gwendolyn Russell.
A Memorial Service for Robert E. Blake will be held 11:00am Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 23000 Gratiot Ave., Eastpointe, Michigan 48021 and you may share memories with the family here at Verheyden.org.
