Obituary of Robert E. Blessinger
Robert E. Blessinger, age 57 years of Pennsauken, passed away on June 21, 2023.
Beloved husband of Ann R. (nee Piescor). Devoted father of Seamus, Grace and Breandan Blessinger. Cherished son of Walburga (nee Herron) and the late John Blessinger. Dear brother of the late John Blessinger. Also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Bob was employed with the New Jersey Department of Labor, Unemployment Insurance as a claims examiner for 20 years. He approached his work with compassion and a genuine desire to assist those facing difficult times. Outside of work, Bob was an active member of the Knights of Columbus council 6735 in Merchantville. His involvement in this organization reflected his deep values of brotherhood, charity, and community.
Bob found joy in the outdoors, especially when he had a fishing rod in hand. Fishing provided him with tranquility and a sense of peace.
Bob also devoted his time to serving as a scout leader, guiding young minds and fostering their growth. He believed in instilling values of leadership and responsibility in the scouts he mentored. His mentorship and guidance will be remembered fondly by those he worked with, who will carry the lessons they learned from him throughout their lives.
Bob's legacy is one of love, kindness, and selflessness. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, children, family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 from 6-8 PM and Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 8:30-9:30 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM at the Church of St. Peter, 43 W. Maple Ave in Merchantville. Final disposition will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Knights of Columbus council 6735, 43 W. Maple Ave Merchantville, NJ 08109.
