Robert "Bob" E. Zimmerman, Jr. Obituary
Robert “Bob” E. Zimmerman, Jr. passed away on July 24, 2025, at Brookridge Retirement Community in Winston-Salem, NC. Bob was born on January 21, 1945, to Robert E. Zimmerman, Sr. and Ethel Myers Zimmerman in Forsyth County. He obtained a master’s degree and enjoyed a successful career in engineering. Bob will be remembered as an avid outdoorsman with a passion for hunting. He lived most of his adult years in Nevada before recently returning home to Winston-Salem to be near his family. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy. Surviving are his sisters, Raynell Thrift and Barbara Hamby (Keith). A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Advent Moravian Church graveyard with pastor Wayne Byerly officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carson City Humane Society, Carson City, Nevada. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com
