Robert R. (Bob) Foster, 80, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, April 12, 2015. Bob was born in Chattanooga, TN and lived in the Chattanooga/North Georgia area all his life. He graduated from Central High School in 1953. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Local 175, where he completed his apprenticeship. He then served in the U.S. Army for 2 years in the Nike Missile Corp. in Rockville, MD. After returning home from the Army, he returned to the IBEW where he served in many capacities, including Examining Board, Recording Secretary, Treasurer, Assistant Business Manager, and Business Manager. He was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church, Chickamauga, GA. He was a member of R.C. Reynolds Bible Study Class. Robert is preceded in death by his Mother, Tommie Foster Pearson; Father, Raymond H. Foster; sister, Allene Foster; step-father, Vernon W. Pearson, and step-mother, Ann Foster. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Clarice Nix Foster, Daughter, Pamela Foster-Hendrix (Pete), Ringgold, GA; Granddaughter, Ashley McDonald, Ringgold GA; Sisters, Catheryne Finnell (Robert), Ringgold, GA, Mildred Buckner, Soddy, TN; Brother, Vernon Patrick Pearson (Phyllis), Duluth, GA; Nieces, Janet Davey (Frank), Soddy, TN, and Shirla Reed (Steve), Soddy, TN, Jennifer Skovran (Kenneth), Huntersville, NC, Nephew, Andrew Pearson, Alexandria, VA. The funeral service will be held 1:00pm Wednesday, April 15th in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Joe Hardin officiating, Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5:00pm – 8:00pm Monday, 5:00pm – 8:00pm Tuesday and prior to the service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org Arrangements by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Homes, Fort Oglethorpe, GA.
