Robert "Bob" L. Good, 72, of Tipton, Indiana, entered his heavenly home on Friday, August 8, 2025. Born on June 13, 1953 in Plymouth, Indiana, to Lorin C. and Pauline "Polly" L. (Master) Good, Bob lived a life dedicated to service, family, and community. On September 15, 1979, Bob married his beloved Carla M. (Holliday) Good, and together they raised two daughters, Andrea (Brad) Powell and Allison (Toby) Ripberger.
His greatest joy was being a grandfather to Sydney, Shane, and Seth Powell, and Sophia and Kennedy Ripberger, who brought light to his life. He was a 1971 graduate of Culver Community High School. Bob served with distinction in the Indiana State Police from 1979 - 2013 and also worked for the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department, as an EMT for Ross Ambulance Service, and North Express as a mechanic.
A committed community member, he served with the Monterey Fire Department and after moving to Tipton used his skill and expertise in helping establish the Cicero Township Volunteer Fire Department as a founding member. Bob was a faithful member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Tipton.
After retirement Bob took great pride in chauffeuring his grandchildren to various activities and appointments throughout the week. He also assisted NAPA in stocking and delivering parts and made several auto delivery trips with Dan Young Chev GMC.
He is survived by his wife, daughters, and grandchildren; a brother, Lt Col Charles (Brooke) Good USAF (Ret); his in-laws, Larry and Mary Ann (Nicolas) Johnson; brothers-in-laws, Randy (Patti), Ron, Tom (Julie), Tony (Melanie), and Mark (Tammy) Holliday; sister-in-law, Lisa Holliday; and many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Carla’s father, Carl Holliday, and brother-in-law, Rick Holliday.
Calling hours will be held from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 15 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home in Tipton with a rosary prayer service to begin at 2:00 p.m. and calling again on Saturday beginning at Noon in Monterey, Indiana at St. Anne’s Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian burial will take place at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at St. Anne’s Catholic Cemetery in Monterey, Indiana.
