Robert "Bob" Matthew "Bob" Griffin Sr. Sr.

Robert "Bob" Griffin, 78, of Lake Orion, Michigan, passed away peacefully on August 6, surrounded by those who loved him most.

Bob was the kind of man who made everyone feel like family - and for his real family, there was nothing he wouldn't do. Every story has a main character; in his story, his family was his main character. Whether it was lending a hand, offering advice, or just showing up when it mattered, Bob's loved ones always came first.

He spent much of his life working side by side with his son Todd, owning and operating Griffin Fence. Away from work, Bob could often be found hunting or golfing with his sons, enjoying casino trips, or camping with his wife, Sharon - the love of his life. He was funny, selfless, fun-loving, and extremely giving, with a knack for making time for anyone who needed him.

Bob's life was one big collection of stories - full of laughter, hard work, a little mischief, and an endless amount of love. His legacy lives on in the people he cared for so deeply.

Beloved husband of Sharon for 60 years; loving father of Robert Jr. (Yvonne) Griffin, Todd (Trina) Griffin, Steven Griffin, and Jason (Cindy) Griffin. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Angela Griffin; proud grandfather of Wendall Adams, Bradley Adams, Corey Adams, Ricky "DJ" Buchanan, Amber Griffin, Shelby Mangold, Alyssa Arbaugh, Jenna Long, Shilynn Griffin, Derek Hodges, Ryan Griffin, Christopher Griffin, Caroline Griffin, Matthew Griffin, Sarah Griffin, and Naudia Brumley; great-grandfather of 15; brother of James Griffin, William (Charlene) Griffin, and the late Linda Poma and Richard Griffin. Bob is also survived by many other extended family members and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 – 2pm at Modetz Funeral Home, 100 E. Silverbell Rd., Orion. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday 2pm to 8pm and Wednesday 10am until time of service.

And if Bob could leave us with one last reminder, it would be this: "Life's short - laugh a lot, help each other, and don't forget to have some fun along the way."
