Robert Henry Kluver, 84, of Denver, Colorado passed away peacefully on March 25, 2024 after a battle with cancer.  Bob was born on December 18,1939 to Velma and Henry Kluver of Mapleton, Iowa. After he graduated from Mapleton High School in 1958 he enlisted in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Evreux, France where he managed the Airman's Club. While in the Air Force he played trumpet in the Drum and Bugle Corp. After the Air Force he spent time with friends traveling the world. His travels brought him to Denver where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Colorado.

After graduating he began working in Insurance Claims, kickstarting a career that lasted decades. Bob met Valerie Mosher in Denver and they married in 1970. Bob and Val went on to have two children, Anna and Emily.

Throughout his life Bob enjoyed being outside; running, hiking, camping, skiing, and playing tennis. Bob and Val climbed multiple fourteeners in the Colorado Rockies. He was an avid cyclist often biking twenty or more miles a day. Lengthy organized rides were a favorite activity.  He completed Ride the Rockies, Copper Triangle, and The Triple Bypass multiple times throughout his retirement years. Cycling was a passion and major part of his life. Bob also enjoyed singing in multiple choral singing groups for over forty years. He started singing tenor with the Denver Turnverein Club which is now known as the One World Singers. Singing brought Bob much happiness and peace.

In addition to all his activities in his retirement Bob volunteered at the Four Mile Historic Park in Denver. He enjoyed learning about history, especially stories from the West. When volunteering he guided tours through the oldest standing house in Denver. He often portrayed Uncle Sam during the Independence Day celebrations, and Father Christmas during December holiday events.

Bob (Pops) loved spending time with his four grandchildren; Joella, Grant, Henry, and William.

He is survived by his wife Valerie and daughters Anna-Kluver Fensler (Ryan Fensler) and Emily Kluver Jones (Nathan Jones), his sister Linda Corey, and brother Gene Kluver. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Velma Kluver and sister, Janice Peter.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
